In May of 2011 a further cooperation followed in which a group of six outstanding students from The Juilliard School accompanied by faculty member Prof. Lewis Kaplan were invited by Prof Reiner Schuhenn, Rektor of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, for a visit to Cologne.

The project “Vom Hudson an den Rhein" brought students of both schools together for a week of intensive rehearsing, coached by teachers from both academies in preparation for a series of five highly acclaimed public classical and jazz concerts.
